THis was good, I asked about the bit rate and khz and polyphony. He only answered that it is 16 -14 bit and 44.1khz, but when hooked to a computer it goes up to 96khz.

He did not answer the polyphony question.

Cheers,
Ian

We should start a fundraiser for that :)
Everybody frequenting this forum chips in a little bit.
What do you guys say?

Thanks, but TBH I'd rather that anyone who wants to support my efforts just buy one of my book/videos, or a samplepack. :smoker:

AKAI MPCX and LIVE STEP SEQUENCER REQUEST !!!

Akai MPCX has a real big potential but we realize that something is missing and Akai is not realizing that their flagship mpc can become a standard for the techno and house heads also.

So what is all about: The MPCX has 16 qlinks, also CV and gates and also a nice display to show you the status of a step sequencer. We ask the step sequencer to have tracks for notes / gates / multiple CC + CV, parameters for all the internal synth parameters (ex start and end point, cutoff etc), and external midi CC for external midi synths, and all that with the help of the 16 qlinks. This is very easy to implement from their side, its not cpu hog and will make the mpcx go on the territories of Cirklon and other complex sequencers, and make this the perfect stand alone sequencer machine. Can you ask at Namm Dan Gill and the guys from Akai to take this feature in consideration.

(Also why not to apply this to the Mpc Live by adding midi controllers with midi learn (like Ableton). The usb ports are accepting midi controllers).

Thank you so much

It's been said in a video that the qlinks on the MPC X can be assigned to any parameter. Does this also work for the Live? Is a midi-learn function implemented that will work with external gear?

How much of the 2GB RAM is used by the underlying OS and the software? Without a project loaded and running. In other words: how much room is there for future updates like maybe a synth?

Alright guys, I have the list organized and ready to go, I think I have most of your questions covered. A lot has been answered already but I'm still hitting up the booth with my own questions as well as the questions of the forum. Stay tuned...of course if you get any more questions before thursday feel free to add them and I'll try to make sure they get on the list. I'll be traveling out this week so bare with me :)
