OK, a real topic.
When it comes to the pre-release information, specifications, details, information of the studio, the Ren, the touch, the X, the Live, or any product from Akai. Especially up until the very month before their product is being released...
ALL I HEAR from people is
"Well I just GUESS Akai is...."
"I just have a FEELING Akai is..."
"It will PROBABLY work like this..."
"We will just have to wait"
"In the video, I can kind of see an icon for this, or a feature... hmmm Maybe it's...."
"I thought I heard Saint Joe say he thinks...."
"I thought I heard Hellfire say it might..."
"I thought I heard mpc-tutor say it will most likely..."
"I think AKAI knows by now to get their sh*t together, they had so much time"
this one gets me
I mean like come on!?!? WHERE IS AKAI? The employees. One face for the company thats not busy programming that will let us know the details. We don't even fully understand how these products will work and function and the thing is almost in stores already!!!!! Everything is guessing and wondering. No communication with their user base, no detailed information. I dont care how small your team is, if you are truly professional and care about the product you are working on and the people who will find joy using these products, dont you think you'd be dying to tell everyone what is coming so we can stop looking at buying your products as a big gamble. With Akai it's always like rolling the dice, lets just hope. Cross our fingers. blah blah. Of course give them 3 years and they will put out updates to fix any product but dont begin to release buggy broken products to the market and leaving us in the dark on what these things can do in and out, not letting us know what the real deal is. I love mpcs but Akai you have to stop these terrible business methods. It's like make a few videos that show nothing except how cool the thing looks, cover a basic and incomplete list of specs and features, and release some cools pics of the new products all lit up with color. Am I in the twilight zone?
