Whats up Danoc!! Definitely getting the LIVE, I already got an MV8800 taking up massive space. However, if the LIVE is everything I need it to be, then I would sell it and the MV (**** Roland!) and get the X. For now, a portable all in one studio is what I need and the LIVE will fulfill that.

If I'm making a beat, and recording audio tracks, with effects, samples... Is there even enough RAM on this thing to work like that standalone? This thing is way late, the MV8800 been out for like 10 years and this is the closest thing to that at the moment, except touch screen and color led lights and all that new cool looking tech. Until I hear they packed this thing with a TON of RAM I Would still go mpc 2500 over this all day. I can also get a fantom X which has similar features and more minus a touch screen. Will all the functions of the software be available in standalone on the hardware??? I cant see this being possible. Can we rrealllllyyyy shut off the computer and get to work like we could on the hardware like we did in the Mpc software. BTW besides having a touch screen they are super late, mv8800 and fantom x have a lot of the basic sampling, sequencing capabilties, and tons more, this thing needs to be leaps above any mv8800 fantom mpc4000 2500 5000 standalone wise for it even to b a thought. This thing needs to pack the power of a harware multitrack recorder and then some. We only have a short liat of specs. Im not giving Akai any money till they make it clear what Im buying and have all the beta testers have made their experiences clear

Yeah the Fantom X is really slept on. I have owned one for years and only recently discovered that among it's sampling capabilities is Autochop!

Does that mean that its replaceable..?? Or will it still need some coding..??
