Hi All,

Am curious how some of you travel with MPC1000, do you take as carry on in laptop bag or put in protective roadcase as check in?

If the latter, any damage to your machine upon booting up? Are there many moving parts inside?

Personally i have always taken it with me onboard flights as i don't trust baggage handlers but i also have a custom roadcase i use when playing live.

Love to hear any of your stories.

Peace!

I used to use a generic two pistol case I got from eBay for $11. Plain black outside, dark grey eggcrate foam on the inside. I was running with it once and accidentally threw it on my concrete driveway, it bounced several times but it was just fine.

I've taken my 2000XL all over the world through customs with no problems. If anything as soon as I take it out my carry on bag to scan, I get compliments about it.
Only in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia back in 2007 I had to plug it up (220VAC) and show them it was no problems.
You'll be fine.

In a backpack, always carryon. Whatever I pack for checked in luggage, I just assume it will be the last time I see it again, so no real valuables go there. And besides, the baggage handlers will throw your bag onto a pile, then throw another bag on top of your bag, and another bag, and so on. Not a good look.

Never had a problem getting it through checkpoint. I don't think I have even been questioned on what it was. Not that I remember anyways.

Sorry, I have no good stories traveling with a MPC.
