When i am using the ebfx card and i go into my mixer i go to fx edit Image i apply the on board effects to be played out of the output 1/2. Image My sample chops are assigned to 1/2.Image I have a snare and kick that is also using M1 and M2 of the fx card. Image When i signal out my snare in stereo to outputs 3/4 Image it also plays out of the outputs 1/2 (picture is of me hitting the snare on the assigned pad.)Image This is doubling up my volumes as my samples are assigned to 1/2 and messing up my recording outputs. How can i apply the effects to the individual tracks without them crossing over into other output tracks even though they are assigned to their own individual outs... Now if someone says that this is because in the initial output it says 1/2 even if i change it to 3/4 it can only be output for everything through 1 stereo channel. if i change the snare to 3/4 then the snare will be duplicated through channel 1/2 while initially output through 3/4... So basically anything that has an on board effect applied to it will come out of channel 1/2 no matter what the initial channel output it is assigned to... Please someone if you can help me figure this out i've looked everywhere and yes i've gone over the manual as well...

okay so maybe it is the master outputs you are hearing? and the fx board is also being heard through individual output 1/2? or is it because the snare is set to individual output 3/4 and the fx is set to 1/2? maybe in the INDIV mixer section.. turn the volume of the snare down so you only hear it from the fx send.

another option is in the fx mixer.. turn off direct sig.

Lampdog wrote:Yeah, like the guys above stated. It's doubling because of your settings.
EB16 is doing what you told it to do.

then how would i go about assigning the effects that are applied to my samples to play out of my 8 outs if i have one effect applid to lets say samples and one effect applied t a snare... from what im understanding is that all the effects can only apply to one sound...

tapedeck wrote:its because your fx go to output 1/2. so the snare comes out dry through via 3/4 then effected via 1/2. and as debauch said, it might help to turn direct sig off so you dont get any dry via the fx bus either.

turning the direct signal on or off doesnt have any affect for me. it still comes out of two channels...

woul you suggest anything where i can have samples applied to my sounds and still be able to routed through the 8 outs?

according to the pictures.. the pad is routed to INDIV 3/4 so that pad will be heard from 3/4, Also the FX mixer area is like an independent send... you have it routed to MFX1 which is being then sent to INDIV 1/2.... therefore you will have the pad routed to both 3/4 where you will hear the dry signal, and 1/2 with the wet signal.. and a mix of the two will be happening because direct sig is not turned off in the EB16 fx mixer section (which is fine for reverb and delay... but not great for the EQ)

i see what youre saying. even though my effects are applied to more than one sound the actual effects can only come out of one stereo channel whether it be 1/2 or 3/4 regardless of what my actual sound outputs are routed to... if my snare is routed to 3/4 the actual effects applied top the snare also come out of 1/2. so back to my actual question can my effects that are applied to all my sounds be routed through their own channels instead of the effects applied to the one channel? from my understanding the answer is no

Ch 8, pg128, Mixer functions.

Ch 9, 138, Effects.

sample -> pad is mixer channel -> efx -> output 1-8 and/or LR.

ive read those pages homie and it still doesnt answer my question for routing the effects of individual sounds to their own channels... it seems to me that the effects are applies to only one stereo channel regardless of what the actual sound is routed to its specific output

Like what was said earlier that you still don't get is, dry is INDIV, this is a dry signal that has nothing to do with effects.

Wet signal is FXSEND, efx have busses, you need to learn to use those busses.

You should send snare to INDIV 3/4 and snare again to FXSEND M1 same pad, same bank.

Your pics show banks are diff. Where exactly is the snare?

D05? What does it's FXSEND say?
