Good lord is this trash. This is arguably worse than the Metro Boomin Touch video lol. Like... he chopped a repeating loop at the spot it repeats for a full minute lmao. You only needed one pad for that, bro.

Give me a free Live, and I can actually make use of it instead of letting these FL producers who have never touched an MPC make demo videos. Or how about you enlist some producers who actually know how they work, Akai? Smart move turning off the comments lol.

I honestly think they would do themselves a favour if they were to get rid of all these "well known" producers and picked a few members of the community who can actually make some decent music.
Some of these standalone challenges have been terrible.

Yeah, especially when it's obvious they have no idea wtf is going on with an MPC lol. Dude literally had 4 pads with the exact same sound on them when he was "chopping" that sample. I'd be surprised if this guy has ever manually chopped a sample in his life. I'd rather watch Andy Mac play some more Rihanna acapellas in clip launch mode...

That was one thing I loved about the SP-606 was being able to sample audio from the USB. I would sample music anywhere on the net, even introductory tunes for blogs. Also the SP606 is capable of being a controller and standalone at the sametime, something Akai should look into. If I messed with the software, I don't wanna jump from controller to standalone and standalone to back to controller to pass files from 2.0 to the hardware when I can sample off 2.0 and assign to a pad or track.

Never heard of that and Akai never mentioned that. You can pass samples through usb but sample off it like that of the RCA connections, nah l don't think so.

Yeah Akai may or may not pull it off but Roland SPs can sample off the USB like RCA ins. Not all SPs though, just the SP606 and the SP555.

If these machines can act as controllers and an interface, then it should be possible to convert it to standalone mode and just let it be an interface. That way sampling the USB can be possible. I don't know if the circuitry will allow it though, but I asked Akai via email and I await for a reply.

You'd get a decent idea on build with the Touch; but the screen on the Live is a different, newer, more touch-sensitive and capable screen.

Bear in mind that we are Akai Pro Australia. We probably know very little other than what has already been made public. What is it you wanted to know?

I have a question. Why not have a few people here get an X or Live and let us challenge it? Im an X man myself and and a videi representating Akai already. I would live to do the standalone challenge. I know a few others would too.

Thanks. Can't wait for the products to come out. And thank you for stopping by we appreciate it.
