Looks like 2.0 is a myth, and the early announcement of the new Mpcs was just to make people stop complaining about the update delay and give them something else to talk/look forward to.
Really disappointed right now, I hope that the other companies will come up with some new hardware by the end of the year.

I wish v2 was out now too as does everyone else but no need to cry baby over the da shit, and make up scenarios about v2 being a myth etc, etc.
what good will it do for u to wish other companies make a competing product for the end of the year? that will not change the fact that u have to wait until Akai release whenever they do; and u will still buy soon as available, or if u decide to boycott u still gotta wait even longer until the end of the year for an unconfirmed product that u hope some other company is making.
