Um the standalones both run on 2.0. It's not merely "downloadable". If they send out hardware before 2.0 is stable and bug-free, they run the risk of warranty issues on the hardware. If 2.0 crashes on PC, just reboot. If 2.0 crashes or corrupts on the hardware, it could brick the device.
