Ive been testing the mpc live for a while now .Just kinda figured out I could also use this as a field recorder to help me sound design.thought id share .peace and respect

Good stuff! I notice you using a dynamic mic, does the Live have internal phantom power or you using the mic's battery or just using a battery-powered preamp?

Which One you were using?

In this video i wasn't using a mic pre .just a dynamic mic(shure) into the input .turned the input up.the a/d converters are pretty quiet. but here are the 2 i have .

I have 2 questions about the Live:

- is it possible to easily set/change the time signature of a sequence on the unit? I can't find any info on this, and Akai didn't respond to my request. on the Touch it seems like it's only possible to change the time sig on the PC (which seems insane to me!)

- does the Live let you import MP3 audio, or does everything need to be .WAV?

Hi, Masada Trent, appreciate your video. Love how you use alternative ways of gathering material for creating tones with that Akai MPC Live. Can't wait to try it for myself!
