This is probably to get preorders: make it look like it'll be out soon, and people will eagerly place preorders.

Well, the software lead for MPC says that the Live is on boats, and headed to STORES.

That's good enough for me. i predict Early / Mid March, US-wide, for the Live.

Where did you see this?
I guess they can make the store hold the units until the software is done.
Or release them and add controller mode later....

Funny thing is, I wish Akai would of kept the Live and X as stand alone and optional software this way they could of put those products out without worrying about the 2.0. Updates for the Ren, and Studio with 2.0 that would of been cool. I just really wish the X was just stand alone. That would of been dope.

There are complaints in Ableton's products, you can go to Gearsluts and see that. Everything is not perfect, not with any company.

What messing up do you see in Ableton history?
This is not a rhetorical question.

I asked, what faults do YOU see in the products? As you mentioned it here.

If you think Ableton is perfect then you have to deal with that. No product is 100% perfect. You just not long ago called me a rumor starter, I showed through Pete I'm not. Then you and MPCTutor were quiet! At this point you shouldn't even be saying nothing to me.

Fanu wrote:My point is that people will *always* complain.
The fact that they do shouldn't necessarily justify you saying they have messed up.
If messing up was based on people complaining, everything would be messed up all the time.

From what I understand, the 2.0 in standalone is a different OS than the 2.0 software. They might be identical but when you use both over time you'll begin to see.

I don't what Akai is up to, but its normal for products to drop a couple months after NAMM announcements. Sometimes I don't get what I want until June. 2.0 however, could've been released already to Ren, Studio and Touch customers. But I guess they are fueling up a big launch release promotion if they want both out at the same time.

Nothing is perfect.

You were posting the DJTechtools date and that got shot down.

And I explained Pete's comment you many times; it still isn't in stores, and there still is no date.

Just like you were told on GS, I, either, have never seen anyone as confrontational on music forums as you seem to be. It's like you're always trying to argue with people about stuff.
We're here for the same reason, man…

This is what I dislike about you, and I could already tell how this thread would turn out, just like the MPC X thread turned on GS, when you joined the forum/thread.
Confrontational, and about you.

I didn't post my 25 years of making music to say I'm better than anyone else; was only to say, 1.0 was the worst ive seen on that time.
But to you, that 25 years was something you need to challenge. Confrontational as always.

Oh ok I see what you're saying. From what I seen in the videos and you have too the 2.0 Standalone looks fine, Akai really never had a problem with the software of past MPC's, accept the 5000 and the screen on the 2000, and I had a failure on my 2000xl Screen. Took it down to Armen's on 30th street in NYC and he fixed it for $250 bucks and that was a lot for just a screen. But I feel you.
