I didnt forget how the Neko company went out of business. Uf you look at what l said that was mentioned. All lm saying is Akai could do it. Do l care? Nope. Im good with my DAWs l have. Im not planning on using the MPC in controller so l dont need that software.

Yeah, Open Labs had one but have you forgot the prices they were going for and the reason why they went out of business because nobody was spending that kinda money except for hardcore gearheads and geeks?

The MPCs are good enough at what they do, you need vsts? Controller mode. Or stick with the Ren or Studio.

I do would like to know what internal effects these machines have, anything like the Roland SPs and I'm good.

Yeah its really dope and good, hardly any gargling of the sound. Almost like a Pioneer CDJ timestretch.

Yep, they don't really know who they be talking to especially talking to me like they did. But hell with them.

My female Singer song writer just finish writing to this joint I did, I had to do it over because I did the track a while back, but I lost it. But it sounds better the remake of it. So we chillin until tonight when she gets back and get in the lab and record her vocals.
Man I want that Live bad lol Let me tell ya, if I could get the X for $1500 I would buy it, but I am over the days of spending dough for no apparent reason. I love banking my money I think I am addicted to it. lol I never used the Pioneer CDJ, so the time stretch in it is good huh? That's dope. I use the time stretch in Reason and Studio One 3, its so dope! Some times I stretch sounds to get an effect that sounds so dope, its bananas! I use it to sound design. Another singer I work with she is getting the Live and she thirsty just like us lol I love editing in Reason, if a drum hit is a tad bit off, they have the tools when you magnify it and put it in the right spot. Plus I love to mix on that SSL 9000K in Reason. I am really set, I just need that dam Live in my hands so I can go. I got my new Video camera so I can do some videos to share with you fellas!
Those pads look juicy on the X and Live too. I am loving those. Don't have to go and get no fat pads LOL

Hi
First post, thank you for having me!
For background I've been an MPC user for about twenty years starting with the 60 at age 13 and later the 2000xl. Unfortunately both were stolen about five years ago.
I just read through all 86 pages of this thread but could not find the info I was looking for, maybe I missed it.
1. Regarding CV's are these only 1volt per octave output or are they adjustable I ask because I would like to control my Buchla 200 series modular. Also as far as the gate cv outs are they bipolar -5 - +5 or 0 - 10 / user adjustable, can we have a mix of both as I would like to control my moog Gear as well.
2. I assume it is not possible to connect converters in to potentially track 8 channels but if anyone knows a definitive.
3. Can we connect a mouse
4. Any idea if we can connect ext. monitor by going under the hood.
If any one has any insight please share.

Some thoughts regarding the NAMM trade show, as we know in it's conception this is an opportunity for the makers to meet with distributors, parts manufacturers etc. it is not rare to wait years for items shown at NAMM to make there way to the end user. The internet has made it possible in real time for us to get a peek at the floor. I guess I don't think we should fault companies for utilizing the show for its original intent.

Yada yada yada...
Thank you for having me,
Joshua

Peace Joshua welcome.
Oc the cv/gate and what specifics you asked they didnt give any numbers like that. I did see a vid where a guy used the cv/gate with his modular system. All he ssid was it worked flawlessly.

You can connect a qwerky keyboard to it no mentioning of a mouse. You can change the names of the tracks or files.

No mention of tracking 8 track to external converters.

Which monitors are you speakung of? Speaker monitors or screen monitors?

hi joshua

1. no clue
2. no,there are no spdif or aes output/s at all
3.i think yes but just guessing
4.theoretically yes..i doubt they went a full-blown custom board route and almost all of such boards have multiple connectivity options including hdmi..but i don’t think that anyone here knows exactly what kind of boards are used.someone here mentioned radxa..i dunno, so thats almost all pure speculation from me here

namm:for new boutique audio gear developers thats maybe true..but for a company of the size of inmusic with offices around the globe i doubt that they need to network like that on such events that much.
its imo used as absolute cheap b2c marketing.
and with the tech specs of these units in mind i assume that a coffee machine will have a 1.7ghz mobile chip in a few years down the road
