Seems like they did raise the price. The reason l wouldn't know.

zangetsu01 wrote:Key music also raised the price to 1899,- euros. Does this have to do with changes they've made to the units..??

You may have hit it on the head, because Akai sells it to the stores at a certain price then the stores sell it at a reasonable price that they can't go over board with.

But someone should call the store to ask why they raised the price. If they blame Akai then ummm. That's nuts!

I'm Going to stick to the Live way I can never go over 1,300 dollars. As a matter of fact I might get the Live cheaper LOL But this raising of the price is bananas.

Well it's not just one store who raised the price, it's multiple and all of them raised the price on the same day, that can't be a coincidence. Akai is behind this.

I got really hyped again after the latest demo and now I'm back at wondering if I should be giving this company any more of my money.

They went back and upgraded the hardware. Not surprised they raised their price because their margins changed. Not a good look though and falls right in line with how Akai have historically operated.

I'm getting the Live regardless because it's exactly what I've been wanting. I'm waiting 6 months to year though so they can iron out the initial bugs and prices to drop.
