Not all stores have raised prices. The big USA outlet stores still listing for $2199. That hasn't changed. They can play with the numbers if they want to get below that, but some won't. Preorder prices for people that already hit the buy button will still be honored I'm sure. MSRP in USA is still $2999.99 and that hasn't changed since first announced for preorders from the big outlets.

I'm still looking to get mine from Sweetwater. They have a deal through March that is 36 months no interest. $62 a month. Trying to tempt people for preorder, but they get those deals pretty regularly. I can wait a year for it to come up again and see if prices drop in a year.

I won't be surprised to see a barely used X come up on ebay for substantially less too. I never got that myself. If I am paying that much for something, I sure as hell won't sell it off after barely playing with it, but some people do just that. Either that or make a demo and sell it cheaper as barely used.

Prices still the same in the USA. SO IF THE hardware got an upgrade why didn't the price change here also?

starmanwarz wrote:Well it's not just one store who raised the price, it's multiple and all of them raised the price on the same day, that can't be a coincidence. Akai is behind this.

I got really hyped again after the latest demo and now I'm back at wondering if I should be giving this company any more of my money.

Ill-Green wrote::D According to Sweetwater, the Live will be available late February 2017. So its out now, just in another dimension.

It's crazy that they post that, when you call them they tell you not expect it anytime soon. Back in January they were saying April/March.

Key music also raised the price to 1899,- euros. Does this have to do with changes they've made to the units..??

BAX is still at €1799. And they always have great customersupport. There are also other companies who sell it for the same price.

But there are also some other companies that have added 100,- to the initial price. It could be that Akai has send them all a message that the units are going to cost more and the shops who haven't updated there price yet still haven't opened their mail because its weekend. All speculation I know..

Lmao.
Hell it was a typo. This is typical SW! They are constantly doing something wrong. Their date of shipment is ridiculous. This is why peeps are angry and l don't blame them. After the fiasco with my Creation Station by them sending my computer back to me not fixed l will never but something of great value from them agaun.

Chillin wrote:It's confusing, you may receive the MPC Live instead of the MPC X for $1200. But it had to be a typo, considering the X and C are next to each other.

You think Akai is behind the price raised? Just for a measly $100 bucks? If the USA stores didn't do it that's the stores doing that.
This happened at the tail end of the week which was enough time to change the websites info. If they dud it over seas they definitely could of done ut in the USA.
A lot of stores are open definitely on Saturday.
But l could be wrong.
