Wow! I hope that person talked to Akai bout that.

Loosecaboose wrote:Ok just talked to the purchasing manager at one of the bigger AUS Akai dealers. He said best case scenario is 1.5 months but realistically will probably be 2 months before the Live drops.

For all the Reason up graders Reason treats me well. Its like having virtual hardware. That Triton lets me stack 14 sounds at once. Some are sleepin on Reason 9. Plus players double Arp. Crazy! Plus you can do chords with one finger.

I recently talked to the local retailer, who seems to keep in touch with Akai, about the lack of PDC and he said he also expressed his thoughts on it to Akai.
He said he also voices his opinions on such matters to companies; he wasn't referring to this case in particular, but he said that sometimes it feels like companies get a bit annoyed when you do that and he gets the vibe that sometimes companies don't understand that we do that only for the sake of the product.
I.e., they easily receive it as complaints, not realizing that feedback like that is super necessary.
If all your users were always happy, you couldn't push the development to meet the demands.

The day your users stop caring, they're gonna shut up, which means you won't get ideas on where the product should be taken next. And those ideas are what a company should appreciate, as they should listen to the users and build the product based on actual users' needs.

I saw Fabfilter finally released an update to Pro-Q 2 that now displays the frequency at the bottom. I suggested that to them in Oct 2015; glad to finally see it happen. Things may take time, but it's always worth telling a company what you think should be implemented to make your work easier.

Why go through all that extra work? Don't you have outlets near your bed for night light, etc like most people do? Plug that bad boy in and be done with it. That's what I would do.

I'm doing it because I love engeneering stuff, Its my day to day job. And one thing I hate is wires on top of my bed. When I've got my laptop at one side of the bed and I want change from the left to right position, the power cord wire anoys the crap out of me.
