Haha, I dunno…Adding everything up, I'm feeling quite **** about Akai atm, tbh. So many question marks and questionable marketing/tactics. And, even they day it comes out…it will come out without PDC on the software :lol:

Might just blow the money on MPC4K + s950…they were done by a decent company.

What is the price you are willing to pay for a 4K?

True, MPC X drops before the Live. Just like the Ren and the Studio.

Just hooked up my MV8800 after watching that video. Now I have to get reacquainted with it. I also wonder how the screen is gonna look on the Ren with 2.0 loaded on it? Don't mine waiting on the X Until they get it right.

Hmmm. Gotta think. Should be in EU. A few hundred.

At minimum to go for €650,- and in perfect condition it is more expensive about €800,- and up. As he demand is becoming highly requested the prices will increase.

@zangetsu01

That's why l want the live. Its smaller than the X and runs off a batrrey. No wires. I get drum patts in my head all the time then l can quickly put it down on the bed, den, living room, patio whenever. For some reason l forget drum patts easy but l can remember chords in my head.

We won't see either machine until 2.0 is complete.

The Live is suppose to drop first but the way things are handled, looks like flagship will have priority. Its only because 2.0 is not ready so by the time it is ready, both X and Live might have a simultaneous launch.

Who knows, I don't work at Akai but seems their grasp is greater than their reach at the moment.

I am not buying the Live for 2.0 but I am seeing things that don't make a dollar. Like discontinuing the Ren. That was their flagship, they should have at least kept manufacturing it until 2.0 finally launched or arrival of the Live. 2.0 should be a big deal as well as the standalones, it should not be hidden. These vids are merely showing a screenshot of 2.0 on their laptops but not the actual software in action, don't believe me, look at the laptops of all the vids, its the same picture. Ren and Studio owners should know what to expect in 2.0 considering they are not touchscreens so it would be interesting to see how they intergrate. Where are those videos? And the videos they show now, sure Andy makes it look like fun but what are the contents and features of the new boxes and how to work them.

Akai needs to hire Mike Acosta. :smoker:

True Dat, I am not getting the Live for the 2.0 software either, I want the Live for sole control of being a stand alone period! I am not even going to fire up the 2.0 nor use it. Again, I have two dope Daws and don't need Akai's 2.0 software. I am not in the business for the controller. If I wanted that I would of got a Studio Black.

I concur they could drop simultaneously, or the Live go first. I hope the Live goes first. Get this out of the way and be a done deal.

I haven't heard that either, heard it was the X and hope the Live drops first, I could of sworn it was said it would. Hell they should drop at the same time if you ask me. :popcorn:

Why do you think its junk? I just thought of some thing, for Akai to go out their way to improve the X unit, there is some thing there.

Compatibility will be poor, Nukai want you to invest in their latest junk.
