AMS is $1,199 Live. 4/1/2017. If that is the true date l can wait.

i did have that problem so far.. what price did they give you

10% off which came to $1080.00. I check the X and its $1980.00. Never had I had to pay for a preorder and I don't like that because the more Akai delays the machines, the more time is lost to make a claim if I have to cancel and get my refund.

That amount was only held (not charged) on my card for 2 days and then it was removed just like the sales rep said it would. I will not be charged for the order until it is shipped.

Not me, they wanted money upfront. Maybe its because I live in PR they think they can swindle me. I'm born Brooklyn baby.

So you had the X for $1619? Who removed the price you or PSSL? Did you have a pre order and removed it?

I ask with all due respect, if you're so down on both Akai, and the prospect of the new hardware (and software) being so inadequate, uninspiring, underpowered and unsupported... what the **** are you hanging around in the forum for? Just to discourage the rest of us? :fku:

He's been asked the same questions so many times by Fanu and others.. He just hates Akai and wants the rest of the world to know.. :smoker:

On to the hold-up, I think the delay has to do with the overwhelming response for the standalone. Akai probably anticipated that dudes would still be tethered to their computer so they made a limited batch to test the waters and at the high prices we see in the US. They were probably thinking of catering to a niche market and probably the units would've shipped already.

So now, they have to manufacture more units to meet demand causing the hold-up and perhaps why they haven't gave a hard date yet.

Just let them take their time to get it right.

We can conspiracy theorize all day of how Akai "stoled and scam" you off your money but if merchants don't get their shipments, no invoices are paid to Akai either, if merchants take your money at preorder, then that merchant stoled and scammed you.

I know I was impatient too, I like new cars and new gear but I got 6 different samplers that kept me busy. I'll wait it out, my birthday in June, hopefully I'll have a Live in my hands by then.

Dear Akai,

Just wondering if any of these features are already implemented on the MPC-X, or if they can please be added to the feature requests on future updates? Nothing too complicated. I really want the MPC-X to be my all-in-one sequencing and sampling solution so I can get rid of a bunch of other gear.

1) Non-destructive quantizing including quantize strength settings and groove templates, as found on the Roland MV8800.

2) Programmable polyphonic arpeggiator, as found on the Waldorf Micro Q.

3) Sequence randomization and probability settings, as found on the Arturia Beatstep Pro.

4) Sequence playback direction (forward, backward, random, Brownian, etc.) as found on the Sequentix Cirklon and other sequencers.

5) Pitch Force To Scale settings as found on the Sequentix Cirklon and other sequencers.

Look forward to your response, thank you!

Hi, I see that this is your first post so welcome...

I think that you've posted your question at the wrong place because this is not an official Akai forum.
This is where we (Hardcore users/Akai fans/Bedroom producers/and Akai haters) gather to talk about Akai products.
