FCC site has the Live & X confidentiality running out on the 07-05-17 & 30-05-17 if Akai release before the dates expire they have to give FCC notice before they can sell them, from what I understand.
I think they have used all their extensions too for the confidentiality agreements... Don't quote me on that! haha
The dates on the FCC site haven't changed since "the leak" & the tightening of the FCC files.

I sold my Elektron Analog RYTM to fund the X a couple of months back & minimised my set up too ready for the X. Only just got my laptop back from ASUS so for the moment now I'm In the box with Studio One v3 & Ableton & my virus B & Avalon Bassline for the mean time till Akai pop the cork.

Gunna upgrade my Ram to 32GB on the laptop I think whilst waiting for Akai to drop.

I'm not a businessman, but I, too, feel that if there was a bit of time between the release of the units and if the latter was more expensive, the latter would probably not sell as much. If it was the other way round, maybe it'd make more sense.
Thing is, if Live comes out first, it'll satisfy a lot of MPC gear hunger and a lot of people including impulse buyers will get it, leaving fewer buyers for the X.

I was drinking earl grey when it hit me. I should be in charge of Akai. Not only would you have gotten the MPCs since yesterday, you would get bars of soap shaped like MPC Lives included so you can always have that lemony MPC fresh smell around your friends.

Yo Tripn you're basically like me the only differences are you have Ab and l have Reason 9. Yo l freakin love S1v3 to me its better than PT!!! How you likin S1v3? Im in the box also lm going to stay there. I mix better and it feels natural to me. Im goin to lock up S1v3 with Live and R9. Will you be locking up X with S1v3?

The smartest thing they could have done would be to state June - August for an ETA, with every intention of a stable, finished product by April. They'd be heroes w/ just a little more marketing savvy.

Maybe it depends on the country you live in.. I'm from the Netherlands and the discount is on everything..

They started to do it right the day after key music started their discounts. So I guess they are trying to overtrow them in the Netherlands..
