Ima hold on to this.

I think one thing is for certain - we know retailers so far have been making up release dates, so I see no reason to suddenly believe otherwise. It's clearly all about securing the most preorders.

I'd like to think that Akai themselves will announce the release rather than leaving it to the retailers.

Thomann is the only one i saw that published just one date for the Live. 28.04.17.
The other retailers seems to take this way too.

Thomann was the first in Europe to receive Renaissance.

Of course, absolutely no guarantee, but i trust them more than the other.

No date for the X on their site tough.

There is currently no way that any retailer is able to display a date with any certainty, because ATM it seems even Akai themselves do not know exactly when they'll be ready to launch. It's still all guess work and estimates - retailers ask Akai for a release date, Akai rep says 'Hopefully end of Q1'. That is all - if Thomann somehow get it right it will be by pure coincidence. People need to stop obsessing about these made up dates published by web sites trying to convince you to pre-order from them.

There's already a few pages worth of release date "information" on this thread; people see a new date and think that must be the one, because it just changed.
I'm guessing now that Akai let go of Q1 springtime, shops have to come up with new dates, too.
What's a date to be trusted? One from Akai. Which doesn't exist, at least not yet.
So, posting new dates here may not be worth anything, TBH.
Not to say being positive about isn't a good thing, but you probably shouldn't get your hopes up based on a shop posting a new date, because they've changed so many times already.

nope even if the sioftware /hardware is average it will still be better than anything else currently on the market, cos there is no other hybrid on the market.

Starmanwars, you should order from getyourmpcxandliveforlessandsooner.com cuz they got the Live for $700 and X for $1350 and due in middle of next week

They also sell those plastic robot extension arm toys so you don't get ergonomically fatigued with your new purchases

Need quality hardware in the meantime? Get an Octatrack.
Been getting more and more familiar with mine; as with any device, there's something to hate, but also something to love. Haven't made up my mind about it completely yet, but at least you can make some half-decent shizzle with it: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRxkcmklXW- ... nufatgyver

It looks fun and gets a lot of praise and I'm keeping an eye on it, although if the X is not what it's supposed to be I think I will choose the controller way and get me a Push 2. I'm defo waiting for the X though.

In the meantime I'm just doing a research on synths, eyeing that minitaur and sub phatty :-D
