At this point, its official its 1.9 with a new GUI and couple new features. Maybe not worth showing off since Ren, Studio and Touch users were waiting a year and a half only to be upset.

They're not focusing on software when they have hardware to hawk. And no one in the market for a standalone is prioritizing the controller / software end of this marketing push (if you can call it that).

Waiting on a real demo, something inspiring that gives a clue what these machines can do, so far I'm interested but not hardly impressed. Maybe I'm one of the few that would use the 2.0 software, so it would be nice to see how the controller functions and flows as a controller. I'm also interested in seeing what these Air FX are capable of with the sound of the MPCX's A/D converters capturing real audio, but since they refuse to demonstrate a video of this sampler sampling, we may never know.

What's up with all these cheesy Demo's man? Their marketing department must be sleeping late or something. If anything, the videos have almost talked me out of getting an X. Lol.

If you've ever tried out the MPC Touch, you'll know pretty much exactly what it's like to work on the Live.
I'd call a few stores and see if any of them have a Touch floor model running the 1.9 software. You'll at least know how the form factor and workflow suits you.

They are probably made by Roland spies who want to see Akai burn to the ground

Actually, it's EXACTLY like that.
Akai's choices were lame, but leagues ahead of this.

Masada's beta demos were way better.

Masada's beta demos give me hope. His demos reflect real world applications of the MPC Live. Masada seems to genuinely care about the product and it's development. At least with his demos I don't feel like Akai is trying to swindle me out of my $$$ by buying into a sub-par product with horrible marketing.

This is encouraging.

Yes.
I know there'll be a Live/X demo in Helsinki in late April, and the retailer was saying they should have at least Live in store by then (would make sense from marketing and sales perspective, TBH).
