Need help with storage for my 2K (not XL)

Hi there, just been searching the forum for like 2 hours trying to answer my questions, still have a few left. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've been having major zip drive headaches lately and want to convert to something that is a little more reliable...

- Can I install an internal Zip on the classic MPC2K?
- If so which brands are recommended.

- What brand of external SCSI hard drive shall I look for. I've seen Lacie get some good comments, any others?

- If I use a hard drive and an external Zip for backup, does the MPC have any problems with switching SCSI cables often?

- I have always had problems with loading ALL. Files from my Zip drives. This has been very confusing because sometimes they load, sometimes not. I usually have to restart the MP a good few times before it starts recognizing them again. Every other file type has loaded okay. Do I need to update the OS?
- If so, where can I get the latest OS

ATAPI/IDE, No.

I have a plextor SCSI CDROM and a HP SCSI Hard Drive.

Maybe, but you can daisy chain 6 other SCSI device. No need to switch cables if they through ports on the back.

It's all good.

you can get an internal ZIP installed from Forat. They are $$$$ but it works..

just my 15 cents...
