Never heard anything on the 60 OR 60II.
Roger Linn was on those. The 2000 screen was messed up and at that time we had to use a 3.5 floppy to load up the software that was wack. I paid Armen $250 bucks to fix that screen. When the 2000XL came out it was more compact , it had time stretch, and loaded on its own. The new SCSI was faster and had a tilt screen and no vents. That didn't have any problems. It was rock solid. Akai mess around l might get me a dope used one in mint condition.

So far, I've read about the 500, 1000, 2500, 4000, 5000, Ren, Studio, Touch all buggy and unfinished to varying degrees per model. jjos does not count for Akai product completion on the 1000, and 2500. That was just a bit of good fortune for owners of those that the coder kept working on it after Akai dropped it.
How about the earlier models - 60, 3000, 2000, 2000xl?
