then here's the million dollar question.

If demand isn't the issue then What's the hold up and what's preventing the new machines from being released? Q1 is gone! :smoker:
Thanks

I do apologise, but I'm not at liberty to publish that sort of information ahead of any official announcement.

Yes, Q1 is almost gone. I'm sorry about the delays. I should add that we did give estimated availability dates that were outside of Q1 some time ago within this very thread.

At the moment, I'm anticipating the following availability into Australia - TBC.

MPC Live - late May.
MPC X - late June.

Other territories may have forecasted dates that are earlier or later than these dates.

Well in order to be wrong AkaiPro has to prove you wrong. Until, you're still correct.

Great question DaNoc.

And maybe I'm wrong, but still stand by my opinion.[/quote]

Sorry but that type of info lm not at liberty to discuss lol

Nah Akai hasn't said any of those things. You might have to ask a beta tester. Like Masada Trent. We can't even get a release date let alibe that what you asked :smoker:

Also has there been any mention on how many tracks can have effects applied before the machines start to struggle with the load?

From what I peeped, there are about 30 to 40 effects, couldn't read them all but I saw: distortion, lo-fi, phase, amplifier, not sure if I read correctly but a decimator too and a bunch of others that I couldn't read so fast.

All whats said is that you can layer 4 effects per pad, not sure about tracks.

I'm trying to be helpful here.

Let me break down this "demand/supply" argument for you using logic, and my understanding of the industry. And let's do it an an extreme level to illustrate the point.

If the worldwide demand for these MPC's was 200k x MPC X and 300k x MPC Live, and inMusic could only produce 10 - they would produce the 10, take the money and produce another 10. They wouldn't just wait around until they had accumulated enough stock to meet demand. Nobody does that.

Still have it? I just bought it...
2x EDS-1000
MEC with 8 port input card (and looking for ADAT)
Interface 2
2x C16

I've always heard of the Paris being a hidden gem. After listening to a few different mixes and realizing the hardware it was running and the fact that there is someone in the community that created ASIO drivers for it for newer Windows, I had to get a system. They also ported some of the effects from the DP4 to the system.

LOLOLOL!
I just checked ebay the systems are mad cheap. I'm sure you had to piece a pc together to accommodate the card. Nice!

the fact he posts on here and doesn't treat MPC customers with contempt suggests he's not rolling with the usual Akai goons
