The accompanying text on the Sonic State website says the following:

"MPC X should be arriving shortly after MPC Live (expected any day now). MPC 2.0 will be released with the MPC LIVE."

Considering i'm getting a Live for financial reasons... THIS HAS ME HYPED

"Any day now?"

B&H pushed from May 1st to May 26th.

That doesn't sound like "any day"....

Unless.... all their units from May 1 went to pre-orders, so the May 26th is for new (2nd round) orders.

They choose their wording very carefully :WTF:

But i have also been on the phone with my retailer which has an April 8th delivery date - and they seem to think there's been no change.

However i'm more than a tad skeptical and will believe it when i receive it

Its a typo, they show the X for May 3rd and Live for May 26th. They were limited qty on their site, I guess those that ordered late will get them after the first batch is sold out.

House of Sound

I'm based in Switzerland for now - they're a retailer with a great reputation and extremely friendly customer service team.
Whenever i've ordered from them in the past they're punctual and cheaper than all other local competitors...

Doesn't mean $h!t if Akai refuses to send the shipment hah

I don't think so, because they updated it as May 3rd, then changed it to May 26th, a few days later.

Believe me. I've been watching it very closely.

Watching the video you can really see the X, its a really beautiful machine! I can see it selling, just get it right
Akai.

Andy said starting at 5:53 that you can do the VSTs on the computer and bring them into the stand alone mode? Please tell me I heard that wrong?

When he did the CV mode joint, did you see how fast he put in that high hat and it was on point? LOL man it was right on the grid, hell Yeah!!!! I am loving that joint, I can't freakin wait. he did it so freakin easy, that's the way I use to do it on the 2000xl. Don't have to worry about a buffer or nothing!

Yo, I heard it through head phones and it was dope! I think their effects is off the chain. That flanger did like a stereo widening, I think we gotta winner here!

No, you can bounce VST instruments down to audio tracks and import them in the standalone. Or you can treat your tracks with VST (or AU of whatever) effect plug-ins and bounce those treated tracks down to an audio track and import them in the standalone. So once you bounced them down, you can't tweak VST parameters anymore.

Gottcha, that makes sense I do that some times in my DAW when I don't want the engineer to change what I put on that certain sound. Hell yeah, thanks for that info.

How you liking those effects? They sound dope, I think Akai got it right this time. That flanger sounded dope! They got mad effects too! That's dope, Hell I might end up with a Live and X LOL I ain't even playing either, get the Live first and then later get the X.
