I guess I'm one of the few who is interested in using the X with the new software. I'm also wanting to see if you can record a realtime arrangement mix down like with Push2 where you play an arrangement on the fly and Abelton lays out all the seperate tracks arranged how you performed it. Not just capturing a stereo mix, but each track layed out. Not sure if this is possible.

@ the 11:20 very briefly shows a snippet of midi and wav together.

Damn IllGreen, you nasty :vomit:

They suck the best dick. I mean really good. I don't know where these young girls learn it, but they no good at it. Once you go gilf you never go dilf. I'm really 41 yrs old. I know I look 21 but it was all the booze and hard drugs of my youth that made me look how I am today

Anyhoo, back on topic. I'm just glad the Live will be arriving late because I preordered at B&H and its Passover next week and they'll be closed for 10 days. Imagine the Live drops then

Yeah, Geoff posted about the X, so I asked about when it's coming out.

His reply was:
"I can only say keep in touch with your dealer for when they will have it in stock. Everyone is working as hard as they can to create the best MPC we can. Hopefully the marketing videos that have been created have value in showing how far along it is."

So I asked if it's still being worked on.
Unsuprisingly, no reply to that, and he went on to post another video.

Is this a joke?

He's the MPC product owner. Doesn't get more official than that, if you ask me.
If he can't comment on where it is right now, nobody will.

unbelievable......

I think he kinda already answered that with the "Everyone is working as hard as they can to create the best MPC we can"....

I don't think they even know how long its going to take them to finish....

Agreed. That's exactly what he did. That's why I tried to get a rough estimate. Which you will never get from Akai.

in reality I think once they have finished it they will be screaming it from the rooftops....it will be unavoidable.....it will be advertised everywhere....

but for now they are just trying to redirect all the pertinent questions to other people to save themselves the hassle of being held responsible for their shortcomings ....

…if the product ever comes out :P

To me, Geoff's reply wasn't convincing at this point.
At this stage we should hear something way more concrete and less vague.
If the product owner says what he just did, you can take it any way you want.
To me it sounds like "We're still working on everything and I can't say when they will come out".

Me, I finally blew the money I sort of had aside for Live on Elektron's Analog Heat.
Love the company and I wish to support them, and am interested in Digitakt, too.
