I feel you on the loss of interest though, happened to me several times. The Sonicstate video got me hyped for a few days and now I'm just salty once again.

After owning the Ren I want it bad but I'm kinda looking at other ways to spend
3k Aussie money.

I need a solid sequencer to control gear so a little more research is needed.

Just the marketing, cryptic smug sh*ttiness, non-informative posts etc, while people are waiting to get to buy it, and all that is something I can't tolerate anymore.
It doesn't resonate well in me. If their aim was to be some elite hype hipster machine, I'd say that's a job well done. If they're trying to be a company that's friendly and conversational towards their followers, they really f*cking suck at it.

The truth is they don't realy care about us end users.. The closed of booth at NAMM 2017 proved that.
They are only concerned with retailers that place big orders.

The guys wearing suits only talk to other guys wearing suits. They know that wether they give us
attention or not us or someone else is going to buy their product anyway..

Dude is not showing his face because he's wanted.. And next time please turn the stand around, It's much more convinient that way..

I hate to agree, but yes, I do agree.
I don't get the "dope, friendly music company that listens to the users" at all.
The complete opposite of Akai is Ableton, for example. Love them to death.
All about music, huge emphasis on beta program, pushing new updates and features, listening to users' wishes, lots of free content, and a lot of what they do looks so far beyond just their own products…it's unreal. Super inspirational.

what they can't account for in substance they make up for with flashing lights and camera cuts...

Ableton live might be a great option, I'm seriously thinking about it, plus the hardware and software combined is cheaper Than the MPC X., Just saying.

He hiding because Akai put him up to it. There is no crowd there, its just the film crew and flashy lights make it look like they're in a club with hundreds of people. Even in the interview he was hiding his face, why? Because he gonna get jumped for releasing an album done by the Live while we are biting nails waiting. I bet he getting threats already

Me, I finally blew the money I sort of had aside for Live on Elektron's Analog Heat.
Love the company and I wish to support them, and am interested in Digitakt, too.

I did the same. I just bought the Roland DJ-808. It's a Serato DJ controller with an integrated Roland drum machine and voice transformer. The drum machine has the sounds of the TR-808, TR-707, TR-606 & TR-909 built in. I also bought more patches for my MV8800. I might as well put the $$$ into equipment that I use right now.

I still may buy an MPC Live 6 months after release. That gives Akai time to fix any bugs and hopefully the price will drop by then!

Well I aint crying, I'm busy building my workstation for the Live. Its my most unique work yet because its gonna have a venting system inside and the design is heavy shit

Wished I had the Live for exact measurements but I went with the metrics Akai have on there site. Making wooden sides too for the Live with metal grills. Its gonna be the bob-bomb.
