No. I buy products by companies who deserve the money.

It's like, the older I've got (37 now), the more I've started to see meaning in how companies act and what company I want to support. It's not like every company makes me feel anything, but come on, it's 2017, and there's tons of devs and companies discussing their forthcoming products on either their dedicated forums or Gearslutz.
To me, that shows they care about the customers. Honestly, it's not asking too much at all and even non-frequent updates are better than no updates.
Akai is a very smug company. Thing is, they *know* people are looking at them right now.
Geoff posted a new MPC X video. He *could* let people know where it's all going right now, but don't bother asking. You'll get a cryptic answer saying something like "I hope the videos you've seen create value" etc.

It's April now, and they said in April.
Yeah, it could be out next week, or it could be out in December.
So how do you know when? You don't.

Basically ur butt hurt cos it ain't out I get u, but tantrums is not going to speed the release.

We can agree akai are a shit company, but let's be clear the live and X r good products, and u know u will buy as soon as they r out.

All the naysayers have u turned on their disdain for the products.

everyone u-turned; ill green is a prime example as he was very adamant that he did not care for theses new mpcs and that his mv was the best.

now this dude hardly mentions his mv, and is doing prep work for the mpc live, dats sucka shit, dude is building new tables or some this for a portable unit.

dats sucka ish imo

But for all his flaws with fake bboy tough guy, and play tough smart alek remarks, **** is the only one who has maintained his disdain for these new mpcs snd his disrespect for akai.

so at least he consistent, but he prolly buy the mpc x on the low, and come on line and pretend he aint go it.

typical b@#th n%##@ type ish

There are also people who are on a "beat hunger strike" and "saving up on ideas" and not making any beats on any other machine until 2.0, MPC X and Live are released.

Haha. Feel the most sorry for the "I sold my this and that and been waiting for the new MPC ever since" dudes. Common sense does make sense in these matters.

Apparently it´s taking that long because they have completely overhauled the design. And kudos to Akai for including headphones. I hope it´s dem legendary MPC headphones!!!

EDIT: I think it´s a clever move from Akai to market it not only for Hip Hop but also for Techno, Rock, Rap & Pop. I am convinced these will sell like hot cakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i aint on a beat hunger strike but I aint made no new beats since late last year.

my issue is that when I know there is new technology available with a new interface and new features, that will make production more enjoyable and productive, that makes me notice the limitations in the mpc studio black as more obvious.

i just never liked the traditional mpc screen, so I want a upto date new millennium screen read out.

Just face it fellas Akai's concern was making namm and other trade shows. They got the buzz they wanted and it backfired. Hopefully they learned their lesson. At this point the software should come out with a 50% discount for Ren, Studio and Torch (touch) owners . If they wanna practice good business, compensate your customers with special offers. Stop making these videos, showing us that yours , work but we can't get you one that works.

The new MPC won't make you make better music.
Think about all the classic stuff people made in the nineties with their super limited gear.
They would've killed to get a device like MPC Studio in the 90s.
People complain too much about limitations these days and don't realize how easy they have it.
