I ordered the live but I'm second guessing maybe switching it for an x

People have commented on the missing transport controls with the live and with the touch. I see play, stop, record, etc, on the live, but a few others on the x. Without having used the machines I don't know what those differences feel like. So what are the transport controls that people are missing with the live/touch, and what is the biggest impact that the extra transport controls on the X and other similar machines will have on workflow?

Those <<>> will allow you to quickly jump between Bars. When I had the Touch I didn't know that in order to
jump between bars you had to tap the bars on the top side of the screen and turn the wheel. But that limited to grid edit mode. Don't know about the other modes.

To me it makes more sense to have dedicated buttons for that..

You're a clown! You really think what some clown say on the internet makes me care? If lm 14 you're 6. Dudes talk so much and not making music or money. You started it. Don't dish out if you can't take it you sour neck bytch. You a**holes take the internet like its some boys club. On the real face to face most you would get your ass beat! Go make some money. I invited everyone of those clowns in GS to a battle and they don't want it. You know why? Cause they can't make no real music that's worth hearing and they are all talk. So go run and tell them what l said.

There's so much entertainment in this thread, it's the best thing ever
In a way I hope the devices will never come out so this thread will keep on delivering…
Fanboys with their dedication, opposers with their never-ending hate, "MV for life" kru, Danoc with his ego attacks and "I'm realer than you are" -isms, Akai "boat heading to stores" that is still missing, Pete G smugness analysis, the online thugs that cannot type, Unf*withable with his funny as hell pictures…just pure gold

Transport controls on the Live would be even better to have but if you're not used to using them in your workflow, I don't think it would make you any difference when using the Live since the workaround on the touch screen seems to be fine. I think that people that are used to using the transport controls will wish that the Live would have them but at the same time, I think even they won't feel it's that big of a deal that they are missing. My opinion: It kind of sucks that the Live doesn't have transport controls but it's not a big deal.

I agree. When I got the Touch, the missing << < > >> were a big deal to me for a while.
I got used to it.
Just like Heru said, you won't think it's a crime they're not there if you haven't got used to using them…but if you are, it does matter a bit and it definitely feels like a regression you can't justify.
