using iomega 250 zip drive plugged into the printers scuzzi?

using iomega 250 zip drive plugged into the printers scuzzi and it ain't being recognized plus i dl'ed the drivers from iomega.

on the back of the iomega zip drive under the column scuzzi the slider is down to five. for termination it is on 1 not 0

do i need to purchase a iomega scuzzi pci card to get this to work? why won't xp recognize the scuzzi drive via the mobo's printer scuzzi port?

Printer ports on MAINBOARDS are NOT SCSI connections.

A SCSI only model of ZIP drive will not run connected to a computer printer port.

A SCSI only model of ZIP drive needs to be connected to a "SCSI PORT", like the one you find on a "SCSI CARD".

The only ZIP drive that will connect to an IBM style computer printer port, which is NOT a SCSI port is the ZIP PLUS or ZIP LPT version..

Plugging a SCSI only ZIP drive into a an IBM parallel printer port could damage both port and zip drive.

Sounds like a parallel zip drive which won't work with mpc.

nope, it's a scsi zip he's trying to hook up to his printer port. No MPC content here, but I guess it's related.
