Needs a way to attach files so we can send screenshots or example files that are causing problems. I suspect this bug reporting system is going to get a lot of abuse in the early days, hopefully the proper reports don't get lost in all the noise.

Interesting to see if we receive any direct response via email

But where do you see and edit it in hardware? (I know this is a software topic, but I guess it's kind of related)

I don't think you can, you couldn't in 1.9 either. I think this is another area that has seen no change/improvement. No modifier lane in hardware GUI (only velocity), no standalone list editor (i.e. step edit) - a standalone MPC with no 'step edit' isn't really an MPC IMO, I don't want to edit all event info visually, the UI just isn't accurate enough).

TBH this was the kind of thing I expected them to be working on alongside the 'headline' features like audio tracks and warping.

I hope everyone requests this as a new feature so Pete will have something to work on after he fixed PDC

Yea, I couldn't find it there either. Go to the Main screen and click on "Wave" right above the grid. Then you should see the warp button with stretch and bpm settings also above the grid. I haven't been able to find this yet on the touch though.

is that supposed to be a feature in 2.0? im really not seeing many reasons to update to 2.0... especially for $100 on my ren.

Yeah :-|
Honestly, with touch screen capabilities…how logical would it be to be able to draw a filter curve.
Not being able to do that is a letdown.

Step Edit would be great too. To be able to define how much to jump after entering a note, being able to jump from a note to another…ahhh. Glad I still got my MPC 60.
These new ones are great, too, but I wish old features that made MPCs what they are didn't get thrown out so easily (the omission of locate buttons still makes me wake up all sweaty at night).[/quote]

These kind of omissions are huge missed opportunities. Need to be able to edit automation curves and also do per step automation (like Elektron p-locks) on the hardware... :(

A few weird decisions so far in 2.0.

In sample edit mode (Studio, Live, Touch) users need the option to have horizontal q-link selections; like Qlink (Pad Scene) mode and q link pad parameter mode.

This way we can have start and end points in the same physical column on the hardware. Some of those default qlink options are pretty good though.

You should give a suggestion, really nice idea !

That happened to me initially, but for the second computer you need to authorise directly via iLok application first.

So go to 'Applications > iLok License Manager' and click the MPC license entry (not the trial entry) - you should see it lists you have used 1 of 2 activations. Right click and select 'Activate' and select your second computer as the location for activation. Next time you launch the MPC app it should already be activated.

The small/thin font issue down the left side of the grid doesn't seem to be an issue in my retina mac, it's only happening on my non-retina screen.

On the retina screen the new software looks great, although as Fanu mentioned it does seem a bit dark, like it's running a different gamma setting. This didn't seem to be a problem on my non-retina display.

Fanu wrote:Anyone find it too dark and the font mostly too small?
When I set the brightness so that it's ok with 2.0, everything else is too bright.
I wish we could make it a bit brighter and control font size a bit.

Yes, font definitely too small/thin in places in computer GUI (e.g. the browser, sample/pad names on left side of grid in various modes), but darkness seems fine to me.

Not installed it yet on my retina macbook so will report back on how that looks, as 1.9 looked poor in places on the retina screen (e.g. pixelated).

You need an Ilok key to active it on more than one computer.
