Feeling lost.

9 years later and here I am back on the MPC forum. Glorious day. Last night picked up a live at GC and spent about an hour with it. Went through all the Demos and had a listen. Really impressed and excited by what I heard. Then I went to program something basic for myself. Recording with the track that was already open was all good. When it was time to add a second track I felt lost. I'm so use to the 2500/1000 work flow and had no clue what to do next . Any advice from long time 1000 users? Excited to really dig in after work tonight.

I don't understand what your problem is. You don't know how to add a 2nd track?

From the "Home Screen" you'll see two tabs on bottom left. Make sure you're on "MIDI" not "Audio".
Now, to the right,highlight the "Track" pulldown box, and turn the big knob until it says "Track 2". Then, go to the MENU screen and select "Browser". Nose around there until you find another kit you want (use Preview), and make sure you are looking at full kits (not individual sounds), and load one up.

Then, go back to your home screen (the House). Under the previously selected "track" area (stay on Track 2), you can use the same method as before, with the wheel, to scroll to your newly loaded kit ("program").

It takes time, but you'll get there.
