ok
i just wanted to know what's a good compressor to beef up my samples?
i don't have too much money to work with so it has to be a reasonable priced one...

i just want my samples to sound more whole, if ya know what i mean...

The RNC Compressor is in my opinion, as well as a lot of others, the best compressor that can be bought for less than $2,000, and its only $175!

another vote for the RNC.

id get more if my budget would extend to that.

also the Behringer Composer is actually quite good. the gate time is extremely quick and the compressor is great, plus you can duck and key also.

if you have a bit more $ the Focusrite Penta is another ive used and enjoyed and the presets are for once, very usable.

thats about all that i can think that ive liked in a price range you could afford.

as for plugin compressors.... Waves RCL is great and Waves C4 is exceptional.

good luck
