UK Converter for US

I'm getting ready to purchase a MPC 2000xl from the UK and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a converter so it will work in the US. Thanks for any help

yea that's what i'm talking about, someone told me it wouldn't work, but i'm like it has to work.

You wont need a voltage converter for an MPC.
I looked on mine and it says like 110~220 or something like that. that means it will work in the US. i didnt see a switch so either it doesnt need a switch or its inside (possible)

When you get it dont plug it in straight away


What you WILL Need is a adaptor so you can plug it in

UK equipment Uses 3 pin plugs, you can probably get an adaptor to change it to two from a store for real cheap.

You're gonna have to do a bit of searching about whether theres like a voltage switch inside the MPC or somethin, cos if you plug it in it may **** it up.

NO I haven't paid for it yet, I was getting a real good deal on it and I'll probably just go with the 1K anyways since the guy that said he was going to give it to me for the deal said he can't anymore. It's all good though. Thanks for all the help.

Definitely no converter needed. I use my MP in the US and UK, I just switch to the appropriate power cable to fit the plug socket.

i use a power converter for my american mpc over her in australia which is the same as the UK but i've never tried it without it, i'm not game enough. i've heard both yes it does work and NO! dont do it you'll fry the boards! so i just went safety first.. but my american scsi cd rom is plugged in without a converter so maybe it doesnt need it.

If you are stepping down the voltage (like you will be doing jigdagod), you won't fry anything hooking it up to the 120vac.
I brought my MPC over here from the states and have to use a step-down transformer to convert the 220vac to 120vac for use. The back of my MPC says 120vac use only. Good luck
