MPC Live left-most side of touch screen gettin' hot

Had the live for a few days now, everything is working nicely, but I've noticed from day 1 the left-most side of the touchscreen gets pretty damn hot. Not-burn-to-the-touch-super-worrisome-overheating-hot, but considerably hotter then the rest of the touchscreen and unit. The heat is mostly coming from the left-most black border of the screen, closest to the pads.

It gets hot in that area while the unit is on, both while being plugged in or runnin' on the battery.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if I might have a problem-unit.

depends on the environment its in, how bright the screen is. how much you are using it, ambient temps, if you have an HD (as opposed to an SSD) installed, etc etc etc.

ill tell you that for the first few days i had the live, i had it on literally 5-6 hours a day (on battery) and i didn't notice it being hot that it was a concern.

Damn, might be an issue then! Mine is completely factory default outside of using an SD card for saving.. It's in a well ventilated apartment with AC blastin.

give others a chance to chime in. all depends on lots of things.. kinda like how people with smartphones may say their phone is super hot whilst others say different.

i think if you had a serious issue, it would have shown its ugly head by now...

This feature is inspired by the MPC 5000. It´s Nukai´s iconic smoking screen function!

Not the left side of the screen on mine, but left side of the unit, under the pads does get warm. Was thinking of installing a cross-flow fan on the side panel or maybe inside if it can fit.

Everybody with this issue could try using a small table top fan, you should also make sure that your MPC is at least one foot away from any other hot temperature emitting equipment. This may especially be needed if you are not in an air conditioned environment or if you do not have an open window near the equipment--the weather should be cool outside as well.

Well, I moved specifically to Alaska so my MPC Live would work properly.

Turns out it still gets damn hot and blazes up eventually...

Mines just gets a lil warm on the left side and l had it on for 2 hours. My screen never gets warm. You have a problem.

Probably nothing compared to some SP 12s and SP 1200s!
My SP 12 got *hot* in the back panel. You prolly could've fried an egg there. It even had an official warning plate about it.
My SP 1200 gets hot, too, but not that mad hot.
