saving on with planet phatt and mpc 2000xl

How do I get my mpc to call up all of the presets that I have on the channels for a certain beat that i have just crafted. Do I have to send midi data to the mpc and how do I know if its sent.

aight i see that i have to do a syn ex dump or something. but where to i go on the planet phat to send the midi data.

I don't have Planet Phatt, but you should be able to save your tracks on the module. So if you save a sequence on the MPC called, "My Beat". Save the set of patches you have set called, "My Beat", on the sound module.

So when you start your day and you wanna play the beat. Load the sequence on the MPC, setup MIDI Sync/OUT (which is already sending MIDI signals to the module), then just load up your saved set of patches on the sound module, "My Beat".

i dont see anywhere in the manual or on the module where i can save tracks. DO ANYONE have the planet phatt.

I see something that says Send MIDI Data
the choices are User Presets, Factory presets, Tuning table, Program/preset Map, Master settings, individual presets, and User beat data

which one do i choose, and do i have to have my akai set to anything in particular.

What up Beats,
I havent done the midi dump in a minute. For me its too much of a hassle but I will try to give you an idea.

On sound Module,
Send Midi Data, user presets, and then you will have to hit the "ok" button on the module. It will then send the info to your mpc, but first you have to have the mpc set up.

On MPC
Have and empty sequence, the bpm's dont matter, set the number of bars to atleast 8, hit play + rec to record the midi information. While you are recording on the mpc hit the "ok" button on the sound module. The sound module should say "Sending. . ." The mpc will continue to "click" and then there will be a delay in the click. That is when you know you have saved the midi information. You can then stop recording.

Tip
Make sure you name the midi sequence so you can find it again
For Example: Your main seq: drumloop Your midi seq: drumloopmidi
Or something like that.
