aiight I'm a newbie....but any help would be appreciated....

I have 2 1200's and a vestax 05 pro and an amp

my turntables are hooked in my mixer and my mixer is connected to my amp....

now I have an mpc 60 how do I do what to sample from my turntables and just connect my mpc 60 in general to play in my speakers that are connected to my amp (obviously).......also what wires do I need? 1/4??..

Thanks for everybody that can help me out and to all the people who are gonna laugh.....please dont' lol....Thanks again....

I remember asking this to somebody before and they told me that'd i'd have to connect to my mixer to sample and then disconnect and re connect back to my amp for the mpc or something like that...if somebody could help me out and write something clear for me i'd appreciate it...... :?

If your mixer has an extra output hook that up to the 60, then the 60 to your speakers.

If not then for now use a headphone splitter and take the HF out to the mpc, then hook it up to the speakers or just use another set of headphones to sample.

Try a few things and think about it, you'll figure it out.

Ideally you want either another mixer or one with more channels.

I have those same turntables and mixer. The 05 is great. It has 2 outs. Here is what you do. Run one set of left and right outs to your amp from your 05. Then depending on what os your running on your 60, (Im running the latest so I can sample in stereo) I then use the other outs on the 05 to sample first one side then then the other. But if you can only sample in mono then you could use something like a y adapter which will take your left and right rca outs on the 05 and put it to one 1/4 for the sample in on your 60.

^what do you mean you sample one side and then the other side in order to sample in stereo?

i'm looking at getting a 60 ii with the roger linn os upgrade w/ fully expanded memory.

side note: how can i upgrade my 60 ii with a zip drive and/or transfer files to my hard drive for CD burning (and/or using software to record vocals and edit tracks)?

what about a external hard drive for my 60 ii? can i do that instead of a zip drive cuz i don't have a zip drive connected to my computer.

thanks in advance.

You sample the left channel and then the right channel. With the os upgrade you can ajoin to mono samples into one stereo sample.
