Pre ordered MPC X? Lets join together and sue Akai!

We should all join together from all over the world and sue Akai for breach of contract.
They used our money with continious and proven false promisses and statements.
Again they pushed back their release date for the X to late august??
People are feeling sick. What used to be something to look forward to with joy now becomes an agonising daily checking hell.
They should give us the unit for free.
Can't we create a big movement to make them listen to their customers for once?

In order for everyone to join this world class action suit you may need to take tjis as high as the UN!

All jokes aside. Anyone that pre ordered can stop it and simply not mess with Akai. There's no gun to your head. I stop pre-otdering over 10 years ago and l got a Live that works well.

Did you say people are feeling sick? Like they are vomiting cayse they don't have the X?

Im confused now you want Akai to give you the unit for free? And you want this to happen to hundreds of people?

They have heard us. They will not be able in one shot be able to give everything people want

I just came from Akai, I bombed their lobby with stink bombs and fart fogger spray.

I understand what he means.. The daily routine of going online to check availability only to find out that the date has been pushed back.

The lawsuit stuff ain't gonna work. Let's be glad to have unofficial site/forum like this where we can reach out to each other.

I've been calling around and one retailer told me not to believe all those shipping dates posted online. it's all a big lie. The official shipping dates for west Europe is around 31 July.

Right now I'm like it will get here when it gets here. But the hype is totally gone.. No trace to be found..

Why waste energy. Just cancel your preorder, make some music, and move on with your life.

I agree, just cancel and move on. There's no denying that the whole saga has been farcical but there's plenty of other music making options out there.

I also agree with the canceling, but if your like me and got a discount with your preorder, canceling might not be the best option..

I ordered it for €1619,-

Now it's €2200,-

Breach of contract? So your preorder was some how a binding contract? Did you sign any sort of promissory agreement guaranteeing your delivery date? F*ck off.

This is my first pre-order never ever ever bought an MPC upon release but they announced it at the right time when I had the cash for it,so I set my cash aside for it back in February and put in a pre-order with sweetwater and it's been sitting waiting for Akai but sooner or later real life might just creep in and take over......so I'm like "just drop the dang thing already,AKAI"! Ever notice how they release new videos right after they push the release date back???

I was told the X will be released in late September-October 2017. I suggest the MPC Touch or Live in the meantime--they are both excellent!

Like Zangetsu, I put my preorder in before they jacked the price up, so I got it for £1550 which is easier to stomach than £1800.

I'll give it another month or so and see what happens in July. I definitely won't be waiting until October!

Yup, doesn't make sense to cancel if you got a great discount on it, especially all this price jacking going on at UK and EU. Best to keep calm, put up with your old gear and make music to pass the time. Because when it does arrive, the gear-bug will be rekindled again and you'd wish you kept that original price instead of forking over the $2200 they asking now.

Apparently they´ve redesigned the X, hence the delay.



At least they are including the iconic MPC headphones now!
