For what it's worth (probably nothing to most here), I did ask two different Akai reps this weekend at Gear Fest when 2.0 proper and a Live update were going to drop. Both told me they had no idea, the company is aware of the clamor (one of the reps says he reads this forum), and both said they hope it happens soon. Neither gave any dates, tho.
