what are you working with? how are you trying to hook it up? what cant you figure out? you have to be specific to get the answers you are looking for

i have alesis qs6.2 i wanna play keyboard along wit my beats is this possible and do i need to have a sound module. i got the midi hooked up and it wont play any sound it just controls my mpc but i wanna use the internal sounds

midi does not transmit sound. you need an audio mixing board or an interface for you pc that has more than a couple inputs.
