Does anyone know how to layer drum samples on the MPC Live hardware? Assigning samples only overwrites the first layer.

From the BROWSER, load all your sounds into your project, then go to PROGRAM EDIT > SAMPLES - here you can access your 4 pad layers. Also remember you can layer entire pads via PROGRAM EDIT > MASTER > SIMULTANEOUS PLAY.

I wrote this drum layering tutorial for MPC Software 1.9 so the screenshots are a bit different, but the process is the same: http://www.mpc-tutor.com/mpc-touch-tuto ... from-hell/

Great Tutorials! I have one "off-topic" Question:

How do you make the screenshots from the hardware looking so clear? I tried to make Pictures from the display with my cam, but it looks awful.

thank you ;)

Thanks, just take computer screenshots in controller mode, on a Mac it natively creates a screenshot for all attached displays (i.e. your normal monitor and the MPC display) and places the PNG files on your desktop. If Windows doesn't support this there should be lots of third party apps that can do this. Same with video as well.

Ah, that would make my life so much easier... but it seems it only works with the MPC Touch? :?
