A recall? Does anyone have a link directly from Akai? Or Akai recalling themselves?

One guy over the MPC Live facebook page said InMusic asked him to send his unit back.
As on that same thread another guy got told that InMusic is shipping units with updated firmware, I contacted Akai support to find out if it's true there's a firmware update and how will it be distributed.

Is there any way to see the hardware specs on the Live? I can be wrong, but I also remeber it was 1.6 ghz. If they changed it to 1.8 ghz without telling us early birds, thats a whole new level of **** us in the ass.

edit: I've just read the PDF manual, version 1.0, and it says 1.8 ghz. They most likely upgraded before the first batch. I'm still interested to se the specs on the hardware though.

hehe Yeah! I've been a paying involuntary betatester for two months now. I can work around it. But the unfinnished software is starting to get on my nervs. I will give them to the end of july, then I send it back.

Yeah, I don't think the final release hardware was ever supposed to be 1.6, always 1.8. Perhaps the prototypes for the FCC tests used 1.6 boards.

THE MPC LIVE RECALL RUMOR IS A LIE!

I called Sam Ash just now and talked to Hosea in Pro Audio he said that is absolutely false.

The person who started this thread should have asked his friend whoiwas the person at S.A. that told him this.
Anyone can call 2127192299 and talk to Hosea.

Its not on youtube nor did it come from Akai!
