hello

need some help here..

ive replaced one of the tactswitches on my MPC2000 s cursor..it fixed the cursor and all looked fine after replacing it.
I didnt check the pads though...only to find out now, that all pads are dead..? Never had an issue with those before,,,,I've checked both ribbonconnectors..the one above the pads and the other one that connects to the bottomboard...

could i have messed up my pads by changing a tactile switch?...(i didnt ground myself when doing this)
I know i can buy a new padsheet -thing....but its a bit weird all pads stopped just like that.....im thinking something else is wrong

any experience or advice?
thanks

Martijn

i know about these ...but i doubt if thats the cause...
from one day to the next....after replacing a tact switch, .they just stopped (all of them, not one by one, or a section) .
before that all pads were working perfectly

I'm sure the ribbon cable is not connected properly. It can be a hassle trying to get it right at times. So keep trying before you go and spend money on parts you don't need to replace.
