Lyrics workforce mpc live

I've created my tracks and now need to record the lyrics. I don't have experience of this, it's the first time I wrote a melody around a lyric. I've got one track sending midi to my jdxi set to vocoder with autopitch on.

SO how do you suggest I record, should I overdub and just do a verse at a time. For the chorus can I just record the one part and then paste it to its sections in time as opposed to recording it multiple times.

I am in standalone mode.

Your tips on this would be most welcome.

Audio tracks is for sequences, I wish it was for a complete song mode like the MV has it. So with that, you can either record your whole beat to a single sequence and then record your verses over via audio tracks. Or record your beat to few different sequences and overdub the verses pertaining to each sequence, but doing it like that will cut the verses at the tails abruptly, cutting off natural breathing parts or that "jeah!" at the end.

The best choice we have with the MPC X or LIVE is to create your song in song mode then convert the the song into a single sequence ad audio track. It works fine like that, add more audio tracks to it for Adlibs ect.

Hey thats a cool method. Only thing I don't like is the cutting off of tails but its good to know different methods.
