Gunner7,
16gb.
10gb of samples and demo stuff.
4gb for the OS ,
Leaves you with 2gb that's shared between samples ,effects etc and sequence data .
If used properly it should be enough ,
I picked up a faulty Freeview HD box and took the 1Tb drive out (Samsung)
Formatted it to FatEx on my mates PC and slammed it in my live ,
Works ace .

This doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the original gist of the post, but I didn't want to start another thread. I actually sat down yesterday and went through as much of the included content as I could, just listening to the various samples, etc. HOLY COW there's a lot of stuff in there! Some of it seems useful and some of it is ... "meh."

Sounds funny, I suppose, but I've really only used samples that I loaded into it, save for a couple of things I found accidentally and then mangled somewhat. I shouldn't be surprised, but it was just overwhelming the sheer amount of stuff already there. Dunno that I've ever use much of it, but it's available.

Took me hours ... and a headache at the end!

More OT: Anyone using the "Optional Legacy Expansions" as found on their Akai account? I couldn't tell you if they're pre-loaded or not! Just thought I'd check 'em out ...

There's a lot in there that I can use; either straight up or mangled into something else. The drums are nice - I'll be setting quite a few custom kits up with them. Got any favorites?

2. Hip-hop Capsun Digiz kit
3. " " Jello kit
4. " " lords kit
5. " " Maker kit
6. " Multi. " perc kit
7. RnB kit Ballad Ready
8. RnB kit maje her sweat kit

Etc are nice

Here's my vid if you didn't see it. Check out thr Air content examples l give and a track that l did off the MPC at the end. .. Well the drums anyway, with one of my artist l work with.

I don't have an SSL in my house but at the major studio l use the SSL 9000K. When l use to frequent Quad studios l would use the Waves SSL 4000 stock plugin.

Recently l been making dope kicks in Studio one and using Fabfilter on it. Claps and snares aldo, freakin amazin. The last dong on my video that kick was layeredd in S1v3 then bought into the MPC Live.

Hi, I'm another newbie here with the same problem, I can't find the added content. I don't know if this is down to my stupidness or if the content is actually missing. I've gone to browser and checked the drive info and it states that my drive size is 14.5 GB with 3.4 GB of free space, so it appears that there is content on my unit. in the browser section all I have available to me, that I can find is the demo stuff, the same stuff that is shown to you when you turn the unit on and nothing else. I assume there should be more stuff on here than just the demos? i've seen a list of stuff on the akai site that I don't have, when I registered my unit. should I be looking someplace else to find the extra content? any help will be greatly appreciated.

In the browser screen, check the folder icons on the upper right side when your in the internal drive.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried what you said, but still have had no joy in finding the content. I saw one clip on youtube where as soon as someone clicked to enter the browser a list of samples appeared on the screen. is this correct? out of interest, how long is the list of content, and is everything listed in one section or is it in various folders?
