Hey, I thought I'd start a thread for people who have already been using the MPC out in the club for live performances and how you've embedded it in your set up either as the brain of your other hardware or standalone, wether you use the clip launching mode more or drum programs etc.
My basic setup is Mpc live + desktop synth and vocals. I will be trying this out next month.

All these DJ's/Musician want to use the Live for Clip Launch like in Ableton with the APC then complain it doesn't work like Ableton.... I wish they never put Clip Launch on the MPC and focused on other Areas that mattered....

I would also never go to a show to see someone push a button that sync'd to a clip... Shits so **** boring... :Sigh:

MPC live, Octatrack, Blofeld
my plan was to use the MPC live as the main sequenzer.
but....

clip launch useless for stems, clicks like hell...
clips can´t overlap sequences
8 audio tracks for all sequences, not for each!

memory also useless, not as advertized, not even 25% of the promised 2 gb of "free sample ram for your projects" (Mac Andy)....

basically use it like a regular MPC 1000, converted all my older 1000/4000er projects and collected it in MPC Live to reorganize.

at least it has about 150 mb more RAM than the 1000, so that´s a plus....great achievement in about 12 years...
If I wouldn´t rely on this, sizewise, i´d honestly brought it back for totally misleading advertisement.
It´s a shame to put out half-assed hardware in beta state, hope there will be at least a little update before the MPC X... so it actually can do stuff that is already in there...

Feel the same way, very misleading. I still use the touch about 40% percent of time.

The streaming from the harddrive update will alleviate some of it, the word from people says it works well.
