Yes sir. Haters hate and don't own the machines. They get off in it. I have to question their sanity. If you don't own a MPC especially the new ones why act stupid and fown play something you don't have or care for the company? Its called trolling

well, im def. looking into the mpc live, the more i know i about the more i think the price of the X is way too high, so ur saying the mpc x does not have a touch screen either???? i think i keep my ren as the studio centerpoint, and the live for that next level, and portability with all the same functions for half the money... but yeah if i had enough money i might go for the X (tho im not even sure i would)

Of course we are here to help. But it wouldn't hurt to do a little bit of research yourself.

1) Go to Akai's website and look up the specifications of both units;
2) Go to Youtube and watch a few of the Demo's;
3) Come back here. I believe that you will have less questions.

Roland?
Native intruments?
Elektron?

It depends, like Toyota makes cars but their branch, Lexus, makes premium cars. But here, Akai makes gear but their premium product is the MPC. Premium products are supposed to be the most well thought-out, engineered, most prestigous, built to last products in a company's line.

Another example, Roland. The MV is a premium product compared to their SPs.

Also slapping the word "Premium" really makes people feel they are buying the best quality money can buy. As before, its subjective.

thats why there was confusion on the touchscreen... i thought they indeed both had touchscreens

1, I already did, and i saw the specs i even mentioned the supposed differences based on that specs list (live has smaller touch screen, and less in and outs and no cv,and more buttons but beside that and the live having a lithium battery)
there are no differences as far as memory goes, so i dont see the justification why the mpc x goes for twice the price of the live (regardless of negotiation tactics)
2. I already searched youtube and googled, but there is no real comparison, or live vs mpc x video or description where the differences are listed
3. dont take f*cking that tone with me, this is a forum dedicated to all things mpc, so i can ask the question so the differences are listed, and people here (mpc users from all over) can make a better decision about which device they should or shouldn't choose..
4. im not some newbie or someone that doesnt own a mpc, i just want clarification, so i dont need Diminishing replies at all

to summarise, i did do research and investigated but there isnt a real explanation of the price difference or the even the difference (a comparison) of both devices... so your post was a totally useless contribution, it did not add any information, it just was a patronizing post...

Do alot of people over here have such a long toes....? :WTF:

Not to defend Zangetsu....but i thought his answer was still quite polite and not totally useless in my eye.
Same could be said about your post...but anyways.

If you really did some research like you are telling us....you wouldn't question the remark Danoc made regarding the "no touchcreen on the X".

And everbody with long toes.....please keep 'em in line....act like you are grown up....jeezzz....

What fuc%@$ing hell is wrong with you..?? What fuc%@$ing tone are you talking about..??
If your not a newby and did some research than don't start asking newby questions. If you've
seen videos on youtube than you would have known that the 'X' has got a touchscreen.

What Danoc said about no touchscreen is the following:

If he uses his i7 laptop he will just be as lethal as the MPC X but without a TOUCH SCREEN..!!

I understand that not everyone is that knowledgeble about the new MPC's that's why I gave you some advice

If you would read my post on this forum you would know that I'm a person that's always ready to help someone else. And sometimes I like to joke around with guys like the unf*ckwithable.

What I don't understand is that you started your post with a normal tone and sudenly flipped the switch on me and went hostile mode.

f*ck that.. We don't need that around here.

This is a comunity (The MPC Family) where we respect each other. And if you don't know how I ment something. Sent me a PM and I can explain it to you.

I believe (but I'm not sure) that your that RD Nijhuis guy on facebook aren't you? because you've dropped the same question over there.

I understand that it's frustrating to wait this long before the MPC X arrive here in the Netherlands but keep your cool man. In a few weeks from now we will join in on the fun that our U.S. brothers have.

Don't dump your frustration on someone else.. It's going to get nasty in here (That I promise you..)

Danoc prolly ust talking about the size.
I don't think there's a rhyme or reason to the pricing, I'm holding off considering a x until they come down as I have a live but I had my 4000 for about 10 years now, still could rock it if I wanted just find the updated line to be smoother workflow wise.

The fact that these things should last a decade justifies the price in my book. How much was a 5k when they dropped or even the 4k?

Yeah, Danoc was talking about his laptop combined with the Live. No need for hostility. We are from all parts of the world speaking english as a 2nd language, so a little diversity and tact can go a long way. Lets keep it united. :smoker:

They were all around $3,5K.

So the new MPC's are cheaper. But in this age of time $3,5K would be too much..

Which is crazy, considering that in that day and age, those prices were astronomical.
