Cheap and effective desktop stand for the MPC Live

I realised had one of these $5 (£3) Ikea laptop stands knocking around in the back of a storage cupboard, it's actually a decent fit for the Live (width perfect, depth approx 70mm extra space at the top). I'll get some pics sorted later.

Those are cheap at least…got two.

For Live, I'm using Crema Caffe "Spike".

Thats exactly what I'm using in my super-stand. The only thing I don't like is that its all solid and heats up without vents. I love it too, its a perfect fit and size but I am looking to get the versions with the venting fans underneath.

Does it give the front of the live a rash with that lip?

Could you drill som holes in venting?

Really the lip is hardly noticable. I suppose I can drill some holes but I don't wanna.

Yeah found these in the elektron forum, definitely getting one for the digitakt, fits perfectly. I think it's kinda small for the Live, though.

Fanu, does the crema caffe is "adhesive" under ? I mean. Is it stable ?

Live's air vents are at the sides..Are there any heat issues with these stands?

The older model we have in the studio with the controller for Radar has solid sides, like the ones in the photo that Marc posted (not implying his are old), but the photos of the current ones show the sides have holes for venting.

Marc - any comment/ideas?

I use the same, you can use the space underneath for cables (in case you have synths on both sides) or to store an Akai MPK 25
