Hey guys,

Been messing with the MPC Live I just got for 3 or 4 days now. I got a sandisk 32 gb SD card and a Samsung Evo 250 gb SSD fitted, both formatted to exFat, and I'm running the latest firmware.

Everything seems to work fine when I start in standalone. When I enter controller mode, both drives open automatically on my computer and it's all good. But when I eject them from my computer and go back into standalone mode on the Live, even though both are listed in my browser, they appear both empty and I can only see the contents again after restarting. Is anyone else finding this issue?

Have you tried updating to the latest firmware?

Real talk, if I didn't enjoy this product so much, I would! I can live with it though, just gotta keep in mind to not go back into stand alone to continue a song once I choose to enter controller mode.

Still waiting to hear from other Live users to know if they have this issue too or not

i have a 500gb samsung evo on the X and a 250gb evo on the LIVE.

i dont use either with the software, but i have it loaded so i can quickly drag/drop files to the X/LIVE to keep them both updated.

i have never seen this issue. I've the live for a couple months now and the X for a few weeks.

i say something is wrong with your LIVE. if it is a new unit and not second hand, you should take it back and get it replaced. this issue is not going to go away and you should not settle for that.

some of these units (Early stock) had internal hardware issues. you could simply have an early stock.

dont know where in the world you are located but if you are within your grace period ad your shop, get this returned/replaced.

Thank you for chiming in. I'm in Europe and tomorrow it'll be 7 days since I received the MPC (ordered it in June and there's no other stock in the store now). It definitely looked like a brand new unit, and I haven't ran into any other issues so far (crashes, instability, etc). Is there any way we can identify which are early stock, maybe by serial number?

Anyway, I seem to have found a solution for my problem. No matter what I tried, the issue persisted (tried on a laptop with Windows 7 too). Simply put, when in standalone and before going into controller mode, I have to eject both drives from my browser. Then I can enter controller mode, and when I switch back to standalone everything is displayed just fine. I don't know what causes this problem (maybe OS or the drives), but either way if someone runs into this issue, you can try this step. Thanks for the help!
