whats up,

i just got the new akai mpc2000xl w/ the compact flash and all.

when i try to load up samples it gives me a "not ready!!" screen thing.

i know its an old machine and all haha but its brand new and i dont know

why it comes up everytime i load a sample. I just got it yesterday.

if someone can help me id be really appreciative.

and When The MPC First starts Does It Recognize Ur Card Reader ???????

yup when i first start it it goes.. detecting memory.. its all good.. its just when i try to load up anything it goes "not ready!!"

im so lost haha

Is the card is inserted all the way? Under device, do you have it selected to card reader? Maybe a defective card.

maybe, uh oh. whats my best bet to get my ram upgraded? i dont know wtf im doin so i want someone else to do it haha would guitar center people do it?

Take Ur Time installin' the chips.....and DON'T ...I Repeat DON'T Lose ANY Screws ..................

I Usually use a Strip of tape and add the screws as I Go along 2 Make Sure
