Midi Slave & Audio Record - MPC Live

I have noticed that when in Midi Receive Mode (slaved to midiclk) it is not possible to record audio. i.e. to record audio at the same time as midi in data.
Has anyone else noticed this issue or could I be making a basic error somewhere?
