Just to see if there was more info besides the highlighted points, and if it seemed legit.

- extended memory expansion support - drives can now be formated internally
;)

I remember one guy returning his bc he couldn't do exactly that. Sucker.
They really need a homerun on this one.

That's pretty nice. I had to install the goddamn software just to format my SSD, otherwise it wouldn't show up on my PC as an external drive.

yes! i had to install the software JUST to do this on the LIVE :worthy:

for the X I just put the SSD in a SSD reader and formatted because when I first got the X, I knew about the mickey mouse round about way of formatting , and I was too lazy to remove the ssd out of the live at the time.. :-D

I phoned up AKAI last night to see if the MIDI progam and SYSEX fixes would be in the update but they couldn't tell me. What they did say is that they only implement changes for the features customers (50 at least) have repetitively asked for. They went on to say these were features that only a few people had asked for. So, basically if anyone wants to see a particular new feature included on an update they have to register their interest with AKAI's customer support.

Do you honestly believe that at this point they are working on customer requests? They still have VERY basic shit they are working on and those are their number one priority, once they are done with these (if ever) they just MIGHT start implementing customer requests in their updates.

Hopefully that includes event editing in standalone mode.
Most likely it won't be included....

LIST edit is absolutely necessary for this release. There's a dedicated button for it on the X. The X is out now... if LIST edit isn't in this upcoming release it'd be disappointing. Not being able to be 100% precise with midi events is a pain.
